The dynamic range (ratio between dark and bright regions) in the visible world far exceeds the range of human vision and of images that are displayed on a monitor or printed. But whereas human eyes can adapt to very different brightness levels, most cameras and computer monitors can capture and reproduce only a fixed dynamic range. Photographers, motion picture artists, and others working with digital images must be selective about what’s important in a scene because they are working with a limited dynamic range.
High dynamic range (HDR) images open up a world of possibilities because they can represent the entire dynamic range of the visible world. Because all the luminance values in a real-world scene are represented proportionately and stored in an HDR image, adjusting the exposure of an HDR image is like adjusting the exposure when photographing a scene in the real world. This capability lets you create blurs and other real-world lighting effects that look realistic. Currently, HDR images are used mostly in motion pictures, special effects, 3D work, and some high-end photography.

We took the Hurley pass and made it but for the last time this year. The snow was deeper (around 30 cm) . As usual The Pemberton side was cloudy
The other side gave us a splendid view of the surrounding mountains

We worked on the kitchen Moving the heavy counter top for more room to install the drywall on the ceiling and walls

It snow during the night bringing few inches of wet stuff. Look like winter arrived and will be here for few months

Due to the amount precipitation over night and during the evening, the Hurley became impassable and closed for the season. (There is a truck stuck in the snow on top of the pass. look like it will pass the winter on the Hurley.). The trip back home had to be the long way on the Hwy 40 from Goldbridge to Lillooet.. A beautiful winding road along Carpenter lake but also dangerous . Well known for it's rock falls from the steep mountains sides, all the the way to Yalakom river.
A few km before the river , our trailer broke down. A big bang , lots of Sparks one wheel came off with the spindle and disappeared into the bushes . We searched for it for while under a torrential cold rain but gave up been soaked and cold.. We end up leaving the trailer on the side of the road. The next day I called a tow truck from Lilloooet. Will pick it up next week end.
